The Unity Mudra
(Jnana Mudra) or hand prayer
Benefits:
♡TO RELAX and form connection between mind, body and Spirit
♡ A great way to begin the day or end it
How to do it:
♡Close your eyes, and feel your breath♡
♡Experience the sensations you are feeling♡
♡Gently come into body alignment beginning with your feet, the even feeling of your seat, or whatever parts of your body are in contact with your chair or other surface supporting you. Pelvis and neck in alignment and feel the ease of your Mountain (Tadasana) Pose♡
♡Widen fingers and place hands on your thighs, palm up♡
♡Thumb (Universal Self) and index finger (represents the self/ego) touch lightly creating a gesture of wholeness and connection♡
♡As you continue breathing imagine the small self melting into the Universal or vast self. Feel a connection beyond yourself♡
♡Saying or mantra to repeat, I am one with the energy of the universe♡
Practice for a few minutes, or longer, release the mantra, mudra and breath, and feel the effects of this Sacred Pause.
Scan the body for sensations, deepen your breath, move whatever feels comfortable, and slowly open your eyes if closed. Look around you and extend gratitude for you and this practice♡
Hope you can join us on zoom every Thursday morning 9am EST.
Much Love (Namaste),
